Controlled Environment Testing

Opira’s skilled technicians provide controlled environment testing services throughout the Australian and Pacific Regions, with branch offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.

Regular inspection and testing of contamination control equipment, areas and processes are vital to protecting the health and safety of staff, patients, products and the wider community.

Opira will identify and assess your controlled environment and comprehensively report any remedial requirements, prescribe maintenance and testing schedules, recommend equipment servicing and provide expert

product advice.

There are many factors to consider when validating the quality of the indoor air environment. Certain indoor air pollutants have been linked to a variety of sources and associated health effects.
It is often common in new or refurbished buildings to have elevated levels of formaldehyde. Some of the potential sources are particle boards pressed wood products, urea-formaldehyde insulation, new furniture and fabrics.

The related health effects are respiratory, eye and skin irritations, headaches and nausea. Formaldehyde is also a suspected carcinogen.

Opira is NATA accredited for working in controlled environments (Accreditation no: 15597) and we meet ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance standards (Certificate AU15/4370), so you can be confident in our industry knowledge, management systems and capabilities.

Upon engagement, we issue a fully-documented test report and Certificate of Compliance that includes details of the test procedures and equipment used (and its calibration reference), analysis of test data and the nature of any repairs and/or adjustments that were made to the equipment. Where appropriate, we also report any remedial and/or preventative recommendations for future action.

If air quality and contamination control is key to infection control, medical research or medicinal/pharmaceutical product manufacturing processes, Opira can help design custom maintenance and testing programs specifically for your needs.
