Workplace Exposure Assessments
Opira can provide a range of workplace exposure assessments to assess personal and/or environmental exposure to airborne contaminants within the workplace.
We offer air monitoring services focused on meeting client needs and ensuring the development of solutions for even the most challenging personal exposure conditions. Our Qualified team of environmental scientists will work with you to develop workable personal exposure monitoring plans – essential to meeting site and legislative requirements.
Upon engagement, we’ll start by assessing your current work processes and potential sources of airborne contaminants.
Using accredited state-of-the-art sampling and analysis methodologies, Opira can conduct air monitoring and provide detailed personal exposure assessments.
The most suitable program for your team may involve iar monitoring or the use of alternative assessment methods such as surrogate data modelling or control branding.
Opira will then identify the contaminants that are likely to create a potential hazard to the health of workers and implement an airborne monitoring strategy. If exposure levels or your existing work processes show cause for concern, we’ll recommend effective control measures to reduce the level of risk to workers.
Opira can assist with workplace exposure assessments for gases, fumes, mists, vapours, chemicals and particles, including the following known hazardous airborne contaminants;
- Asbestos
- Crystalline silica
- Other respirable dust
- Isocyanates
- Formaldehyde
- Other specific volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
- Mould and fungi
Our reports are easy-to-understand, detailed and supplied with high-quality images to help you better communicate your WHS messages to your staff.
