The Simret 4000
Tests braking performance for off-road vehicles. It is compact, lightweight, and features a large, backlit screen and a detachable printer. This instrument is perfect for brake ratio testing, and it is recommended for rubber-tired vehicles in quarries, open-cast coal sites, and mines. The Simret 4000 records the average brake ratio, test incline, speed, and stopping distance. It measures brake ratio independently of gradient and speed, allowing tests in various environments and conditions.
How It Works
The Simret 4000 is our latest HGV brake tester and the world’s first with wireless connectivity. It eliminates cumbersome wires and cables.
It features a straightforward, user-friendly menu and single-click control. You can install the pedal pad by sliding its clip or wrapping the Velcro strap over the brake pedal.
After testing, a pass or fail light illuminates. Detailed results appear on the large, backlit screen. The wireless printer records the average brake ratio, test incline, brake delay time, stopping distance, and braking speed. It also prints a brake ratio/time graph and communicates with other Turnkey instruments.
The Simret 4000 has 4 MB of internal memory, storing up to 99 test results with graphs. An optional 2 GB SD memory card allows for additional storage. The device saves up to 99 plant descriptions, 16 test conditions, and four brake types. All results are date-stamped, including test conditions, operator details, and plant descriptions.
We recommend recalibrating the Simret 4000 annually or sooner if the self-test indicates a calibration fault.
