– the modular evidence screening workstation
EVIscreen is a modular and customisable system for camera-based evidence screening workstations to examine and document evidence.

While it can be used with a standard camera and video systems, EVIscreen is specially designed to work well with our laboratory evidence examination and documentation system, LABview, which provides photo and video options and lighting control options.

Camera Column Options

The base of every EVIscreen system is the camera column. We have options for a variety of needs. Both manually height adjustable and motorised columns are available. We also offer fixed height options and columns that can be wall mounted or mounted on a stand or workstation.

The manually height-adjustable option allows for fast adjustment between positions, ideal for users who must frequently change positions for overall shots and macro imaging. In addition, the motorised column works well for users who have camera systems like those often used for fingerprint photography, as many of these have a fixed lens system, and the focus must be adjusted by adjusting the distance between the camera and the evidence, rather than changing the direction of the lens itself.

Our wall-mounted option for EVIscreen is ideal for those who require a vibration-free camera setup or may have facilities with uneven floors that are less suitable for floor-standing equipment.

Table Mounted Camera Column Options

We offer a particular shortened and motorised version of the EVIscreen camer column, ideal for mounting on an existing work table or a heavy laboratory rolling cart.

As with the more extensive column options, this can be equipped with either a fixed camera mount or an articulated camera mounting arm that allows a camera system to easily be adjusted to glide parallel to a work surface for easy photography with minimal time spent on having to refocus any camera lenses.

To protect equipment and keep the workstation tidy, EVIscreen is also equipped with several cable management chains that allow the column to easily be adjusted without risking cables moving, being pinched, or being pulled, making the workspace cleaner and safer.

Workbench Options

EVIscreen can come with or without a workbench. The workbench surface is available in both sizes, known from PHOTOvent.
The workbench is available with a fixed height or a motorised height adjustable option. The standard option comes with an easy-to-clean stainless steel work surface, practical for frequent cleaning and disinfection. Other work surface material options are available, including ferro-magnetic and plastic-coated options.

Optional Filter System

EVIscreen can be delivered with or without a filtration system. However, we provide a multi-stage filtration system with adjustable fan speeds for those who desire a filter system. Our multi-stage filter is designed to reduce odours, fine dust, and larger particulates, helping to keep your workstation cleaner and safer.

The Class M5 pre-filter mat helps extend filter life by filtering out larger particulates first, and our Class H13 HEPA filter filters out finer particulates and dust. These are easy to access and replace without tools and, when paired together, reduce operating expenses by increasing the life expectancy of your filter unit. For additional odour reduction, an activated carbon filter mat is also available.

The integrated filter management system informs the user how much filter life they have left and when the filter needs to be changed, so users do not need to track when to change the filter manually. Instead, when it’s time for a new filter, users can quickly and easily change the filter themselves without any tools.

Additional Options

For users who do not wish to photograph evidence with the workstation surface as a background, we can supply a 50x50cm large evidence surface with a printed scale, available in either matte black or white.

LIGHTcube and LIGHTrail can also be equipped with this system for various lighting options, suitable for multiple evidence types. If used, this can also be connected to CONTROLbox to adjust lighting quickly and easily. CONTROLbox also allows users to mix lighting options, save lighting settings as custom scenarios, control their camera and work surface height and filter fan speed, all from a single user-friendly display.
