AlarmBox
Turnkey’s AlarmBox controls dust suppression equipment and alerts users when pollutants reach or exceed predetermined levels.
Compatible with all Turnkey dust monitors, the AlarmBox provides both audio and visual alarms. You don’t need an additional computer; however, you can configure it to work with a laptop, PC, or mobile device using our free software or the Android app, AlarmBoxApp.
Simply connect your chosen device via the AlarmBox’s USB port. When paired with the appropriate software, the AlarmBox automatically detects the parameters the connected air monitoring device measures.
How It Works
The AlarmBox features a clear traffic light warning system, making the visual signals easy to interpret. Set trigger points at specific levels as needed. For instance, you can activate one alarm when PM10 > 250 µg/m³ AND (PM2.5 > 20 µg/m³ OR PM1 > 10 µg/m³) AND wind speed > 5 m/s.
It stores up to 16 different scripts in its flash memory.
When the preset level is reached, the alarm activates. Alternatively, you can program it to trigger only if the level exceeds the limit for a specified time. The AlarmBox can activate an audible alarm, a traffic light visual system, or automatically engage dust suppression equipment depending on your needs.
Use the software and app to create an alarm scheme based on:
- Dust concentration – any combination of TSP, PM10, PM2.5, or PM1
- Wind speed
- Wind direction
